"Ghosts I've Known" explores the simultaneous functionality and divisiveness intrinsic to the duality of scissors to describe the impact of the generational trauma described in "Ghosts I've Never Met" on my mother's siblings and parents. The cast was made with pinking shears, whose function involves finishing edges of cloth to prevent deterioration or unraveling.
